Let's get one thing out of the way: there's a lot more of New York City in Apple Brandy than just the name. In fact, Big Apple references aside, this fragrance exudes the spirit of NYC- glamorous, rich, intoxicating, and even a bit dangerous.
Obviously, any cognac fragrance (brandy, of course, being the term to designate "cognac" when the product is produced outside of France) needs to be perfect in order to satisfy Kilian Hennessy, and it's absolutely perfect here, a big blend of smoked cedar, oak and labdanum combined with vanilla and ambroxan to give a perfect dose of sweet, warm booziness. A fruity, spicy apple liqueur accord blends, rather than contrasting, with the cognac, to give a cohesive, smooth character. You don't have to be in the city that never sleeps to stay up all night with this gem.
Apply fragrance to clean skin after showering, targeting pulse points such as wrists and behind the neck for optimal scent diffusion. Use a non-scented moisturizer first to prolong fragrance life. Avoid direct application on clothes and sensitive skin to prevent irritation and preserve the integrity of the scent.
