“I always create starting from the simplest, yet essential, idea,” says designer Issey Miyake. And what could be more essential and universal than water? Indeed, this element covers most of our planet. Moreover, it is essential to all human life. Issey Miyake therefore decided to make it his greatest source of olfactory inspiration. And that is how he conceived L'Eau d'Issey in 1992. In 2022, to celebrate its 30th anniversary, this fragrance was transformed into a new summer scent. It became L'Eau d'Issey Summer Edition 2022, while its bottle was elegantly decorated by the artist Kevin Lucbert. He chose red ink to decorate the transparent Issey Miyake bottle, creating a kind of path that appears on its sides. 

L'Eau d'Issey Summer Edition 2022 by Issey Miyake opens with refreshing, sun-drenched top notes. These are the work of Marie Salamagne, who chose to settle in the Greek Cyclades. The warmth of the sand is highlighted by neroli. The freshness of the sea is conveyed through an aquatic accord. Then, L'Eau d'Issey Summer Edition 2022 by Issey Miyake continues its journey towards the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, Sicily. Renowned for its citrus groves, this location is represented here by a trio of orange, bergamot, and lemon. For added femininity, Daphné Bugey adds orange blossom, rose, and frangipani flower. Finally, the journey concludes with Dora Baghriche and the island of Panarea, a volcanic land in the heart of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Creating a truly addictive fragrance, it finishes with a blend of driftwood, coconut milk, and musk.

A citrus and floral fragrance featuring top notes of Neroli, Bergamot (from Calabria) and Aquatic Notes, while the middle notes are Frangipani blossom, Rose essence, Orange blossom, and base notes are Driftwood, Coconut Milk and Musk.
