Laskarina is an ode to femininity. Not the skin-deep allure so often hailed by perfume, but rather the celebration of strength and determination of women. Fittingly then, Frapin looked into Laskarina Bouboulina as a muse. When she was left a wealthy widow in 1811, she used her inheritance to invest in four warships to push back the Turkish invasion.
